چکیده

The effect of heat on the reaction system of glycine glutamic acid and glycineleucine at 90 ± 5 0 C has been investigated in aqueous environment in the presence of montmorillonite clay with or without divalent cations (Ca 2+ , Cu 2+ and Mg 2+ ) under prebiotic wetting-drying cycles of primitive earth. The resulting products were analyzed by paper chromatography, UV as well as by High Performance Liquid Chromatography. Formation of peptides seems to depend on the nature of the reactant amino acids, duration of heating as well as on montmorillonite clay incorporated with divalent cations. In glycine/glutamic acid, oligomerization of glycine was limited upto tetramer level (Gly4) along with the formation of glycyl-glutamic acid, whereas reaction system of glycine/leucine gave peptides up to tetramer level (Gly4) and showed the formation of Leucyl-Glycine (LeuGly). Thus the formation of peptides from the above reaction system reveal that incorporation of metal ions on clay (M) surface enhance the catalytic activity by iondipole interaction of cations with dipolar amino acid Zwitter-ions.

Thermal Condensation of Glycine and Alanine on Metal Ferrite Surface: Primitive Peptide Bond Formation Scenario

The amino acid condensation reaction on a heterogeneous mineral surface has been regarded as one of the important pathways for peptide bond formation. Keeping this in view, we have studied the oligomerization of the simple amino acids, glycine and alanine, on nickel ferrite (NiFe₂O₄), cobalt ferrite (CoFe₂O₄), copper ferrite (CuFe₂O₄), zinc ferrite (ZnFe₂O₄), and manganese ferrite (MnFe₂O₄) nan...

Potassium status of two clayey calcareous soils treated with zeolite under wetting-drying cycles

Zeolite application to clayey soils may change potassium (K) pools distribution and its release rate. To test this hypothesis, two heavy-textured calcareous soils with different mineralogy (smectitic and mixed by XRD) from southern Iran were selected. Experiment was a completely randomized factorial arrangement. Treatments consisted of two soils and two zeolite levels (0 and 5%) and wetting-dry...

تأثیر چرخه‌های تروخشک شدن بر برآورد تنش در آستانه‌ی تراکم یک خاک ریزبافت

Flood irrigation after planting induces wetting and drying cycles in arable soils. For this reason, the effect of this process on load-bearing capacity (pre-compaction stress pc) of a fine textured soil (silty clay) was studied. In this research, large air-dry disturbed soil specimens were prepared and some of them were exposed to five wetting and drying cycles. Next, the large soil specimens ...

تاثیر تناوب‌های خشک و مرطوب بر رهاسازی برخی عناصر از کانی بنتونیت در حضور اسیدهای آلی

The study of drying and wetting cycles in soils is important due to their effects on plant nutrition and soil fertility as well as environmental issues. Therefore, a laboratory experiment was set up with a completely randomized design and factorial arrangement in three replications to identify the influence of wetting and drying cycles in combination with or without application of organic acids...

Influence of vegetable amino acids and oils supplementation of on Chlorella vulgaris amino acid profile

The aim of the present research is to investigate the profile of amino acid of Chlorella vulgaris supplemented with some plant amino acid and oil extracts. The bioactive oil and amino acid from four Iranian medicinal plants, namely Oliveria decumbens, Thymus kotschyanus, Trachyspermum ammi, and Zataria multiflora were obtained. The LC-MS / MS analysis demonstrated that the major amino acids com...
